European Patent Attorney Jurga Petniūnaitė has more than 25 years of experience in patenting and patent protection. She prepares and presents national and European patent applications to the State Patent Bureau of the Republic of Lithuania (SPB), the European Patent Office (EPO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). She also extends these patent applications to other countries and regions in accordance with the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), extends the granted European Patent validity to the selected European Patent Convention (EPC) states, represents Lithuanian and foreign companies at the State Patent Bureau of the Republic of Lithuania (SPB), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), the European Patent Office (EPO), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the courts.

• Advises Vilnius University on the issues of patenting, patent protection, and patent transfer in various countries around the world
• Represented a client in the State Patent Bureau and Vilnius Regional Administrative Court in the first case in Lithuania concerning the restoration of lost patent rights
• Advises applicants (Lithuanian companies) on SITA (Science, Innovation and Technologies Agency) support for invention patents

Participant of the training on the implementation aspects of EPC 2000 organized by the European Patent Office and the European Patent Academy, appointed as the national curator of this program.
Was issued a certificate of the European Patent Academy in 2009, certifying the completion of the three-part training program and becoming the official representative of the European Patent Office (EPO) in Lithuania. With this certificate, Patent Attorney has the right to hold specialized seminars for inventions, patent attorneys, inventors and inventors’ rights advocates.
Participates in training for the European Patent Attorney Qualification Exam (EQE).
