Longstanding team member to become a second partner at PĒTERSONA PATENTS – AAA LAW

As of November Dr. Artis Kromanis, the longstanding member of the PĒTERSONA PATENTS – AAA LAW team, became the third partner of the Latvian office and the thirteenth partner within the Baltic network law offices.

The patent attorney Dr. Artis Kromanis has strengthened the firm’s position in the area of intellectual property protection for 16 years. During this time Artis has gained extensive work experience in patent prosecution matters. In particular, he drafts and files patent applications before the Latvian Patent Office (LPO) and European Patent Office (EPO), as well as carries out patent searches, freedom-to-operate analysis and IP evaluation.

Artis is continuously dealing with complex cases involving patent infringements and developing and enforcing patent strategies worldwide.

Further he will continue using his expertise for developing new services highly demanded by the local and international clients: audit of IP portfolio and additional services in the area of franchising.

“By expanding the circle of our partners, we enter a new development stage of our firm. With Artis becoming a partner, we also plan to expand our services and team to achieve better results in the long-run. He is especially appreciated among the clients because of his highly-developed skills of finding balance between cost efficiency and best outcome” – states Gatis Meržvinskis, the managing partner of PĒTERSONA PATENTS – AAA LAW.
